Our Founder

Hi, I’m Susie Gerber, the main photographer behind Wellington Lane Photography. Photography is my passion—it’s how I preserve life’s most meaningful moments. I love documenting memories for families, capturing the genuine emotions and connections that make each story unique.

I am the wife of a loving husband and mother of two beautiful daughters. We call the countryside home, where we  share our days with one loyal dog, four playful goats and many barn cats. 

Life here is a gift, with breathtaking sunrises to start our mornings and peaceful sunsets to end our days. The quietness and stillness of the countryside remind us of God’s presence in every moment.

Q: How long does it take to get my photos back?

Within 6 weeks or earlier you will receive all your high resolution edits.

Q: Do you offer videography?

Unfortunately at this time, we do not offer this.

Q: How do you deliver the images?

Final images will be shared through Google Drive for easy viewing and downloading. You’ll receive a link to access your gallery.

Q: What should we wear?

Keep it simple and timeless; think neutral colours, soft fabrics and outfits that flow well with natural backdrops. Coordinate outfits well together that reflect your style and try to avoid bold patterns or logos.

Q: What is your photography style?

Our style is light, warm and natural- focused on genuine moments, golden light and the beauty of the countryside. We blend a relaxed, lifestyle approach with authentic edits that tell your story just as it is.

Q: How do I book a session?

Booking photography sessions are done on the website under the “Sessions” and “Contact Us” sections.

Q: How far in advance should I book my session?

Sessions fill up quickly, especially in the spring and fall. Booking 3-4 weeks ahead is ideal to secure your preferred date and time.

Q: Where do sessions take place?

Sessions take place on our private countryside property featuring open fields, corn or hay fields, many trees and a peaceful scenery. The exact address will be shared after booking and you must have an appointment/session booked.

Q: Do you require a deposit?

Yes. We require a 50% deposit or you may pay for your session in full at booking.

Q: What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash and e-transfer funds.

Q: When is the final payment due?

Your final payment is due 7 days prior to your session date to hold your spot and allow time for planning. Sessions not paid in full by then may be released.

Q: What if I need to reschedule my session due to illness or emergency?

If this needs to happen, please notify us as soon as you can. Your deposit/payment can be applied to a new session within 2 weeks of your original session date.

Q: What if I need to cancel my session? 

If you need to cancel giving less than 24 hours notice prior to your session date or there is a no show, you will forfeited all payments given.

Q: What happens if it rains?

If bad weather is expected, we’ll reschedule your session at no extra cost.

Q: Can I post the photos on social media?

Absolutely! We’d love for you to share them- just please tag or credit Wellington Lane Photography.

Q: Do I need to sign a contract?

Yes. A simple contract is required to protect us both. It outlines the session details, usage of rights and policies. It will be sent to you when booking and must be signed before your session.
